No. 1 ranked OT Brandon Baker locks in Texas official visit
On3 Industry Ranking No. 1 ranked offensive tackle Brandon Baker has locked in his official visit to Texas.
The 6-foot-4.5, 285-pound 4-star and No. 26 ranked prospect overall is scheduled to be in Austin the weekend of June 16-18.
The visit to Texas will be the second since Mid-April, after Baker and family made an unofficial visit for the Longhorns spring game.
The visit to Texas will be sandwiched between official’s to Ohio State this weekend and Georgia June 23-25. Oregon is assured to receive an official visit prior to a decision before his senior season as well. The Ducks are considered the leader by many, including a pair of On3 Recruiting Machine Predictions.

Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood initially offered Baker in March of 2022.
Steve Sarkisian and Flood worked to get Baker and family on campus all spring, and the odds went up following fellow 4-star and Mater Dei teammate DeAndre Carter’s January unofficial visit. Carter and family returned from his January visit with very positive reviews.
Flood followed Baker and family’s April visit by spending a day in Southern California in May to ensure Baker is fully aware how much he is coveted by the Longhorns staff. Flood, Baker and family have had consistent communication since the April visit.
Along with Oregon, Texas, Ohio State and Georgia; Tennessee, Florida State and USC remain in the mix for the No. 2 ranked prospect in the state of California.
