Ohio linebacker looking to schedule visit
Michigan State is looking to host class of 2025 three-star Ohio linebacker Dante McClellan of Canton (OH) McKinley at the end of July. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder does not hold a Spartan offer, but does holds offers from Southern California, Minnesota, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, and more. McClellan currently ranks a three-star, the No. 361 overall recruit by the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. He also ranks the No. 35 linebacker in the nation and the No. 12 recruit in Ohio.
According to On3, McClellan has a NIL valuation of $12.6k, which ranks No. 3,245 in high school football.
“My biggest strength is that I’m a hard worker. If I’m playing hard, they can’t score,” he told KSR. “I need to get stronger and faster.”

So far in the 2025 class, Michigan State has already extended 20 linebacker offers in the class of 2025. Three-star Kelan Butler of Jefferson (GA) High School took an unofficial visit to East Lansing in June. His other offers include South Carolina, Tennessee, Michigan, Texas A&M, and more. Butler is ranked the No. 336 overall recruit, the No. 32 linebacker, and the No. 37 recruit in Georgia by the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings.
The Spartans also welcomed currently unranked 2025 linebacker Venilaite Wolfgramm in April of 2023. California, Arizona State, Louisville, Missouri, Colorado, and others have also offered the 2025 linebacker.
Michigan State will also host three-star linebacker, Cooper Catalano, of Germantown (WI), on July 27 for an unofficial visit. The Spartans haven’t offered yet, but his offers include Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa State. It will be his first trip to East Lansing.
