Nightly Recruiting Briefing: Michigan State makes four-star running back top three

In tonight’s Nightly Recruiting Briefing we will discuss Michigan State being included in the top list of four-star running back Jason Brown.
Jason Brown top three
Four-Star running back Jason Brown of Seattle (WA) O’Dea High narrowed his list to three schools on August 15. The 5-foot-10, 200 pounder is down to the following: Washington, Michigan State, and Oregon.
“The relationship and connection I’ve built with the staff at MSU has been one of the most consistent and meaningful in my recruiting process,” Brown told On3. “From the whole staff and team to people in East Lansing make that place feel like home. MSU has something cooking up and I like what I see.”
Brown is ranked the No. 153 overall recruit in class of 2024. He is also ranked the No. 10 running back, and the No. 2 recruit in Washington by the On3 Industry Rankings.
“It is about relationships with Michigan State. From Coach Mel Tucker to the who staff, they have always been welcoming. They treat me and my family very well and they do a great job of making us feel at home. I really like East Lansing and the coaches have been great.”
Jason’s take:
Michigan State has done an excellent job in the recruitment of Brown, as he nears a tentative end of August decision timeline. Brown is not your typical recruit, not playing much of the social media game, and keeping a lot of his recruitment to himself. Sources tell SpartanMag.com that Michigan State is in prime position to upset the West Coast powers. Brown is very impressed by Effrem Reed and how he has developed running backs with the Spartans.
I placed an RPM Prediction for Michigan State to land Brown this month, with a 70% condifence level. You can read my reasoning here.
