In tonight’s Nightly Recruiting Briefing we will discuss the latest Michigan State offer. We will also discuss the latest Spartan social media.
New offers
Michigan State offered class of 2024 four-star wide receiver Xavier Jordan of Los Angeles (CA) Sierra Canyon High School on April 12. The 6-foot-1, 165-pounds receiver holds offers from Ohio State, Oregon, Washington, Tennessee, Southern California, and more.
The four-star is ranked the No. 104 overall recruit, the No. 18 wide receiver and the No. 13 recruit in California by the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings. Jordan visited USC on April 8 along with Oklahoma earlier this spring. He also is planning to visit Ohio State, Washington, and Oregon this summer.
Michigan State and newly hired Spartan cornerbacks coach Jim Salgado also offered class of 2024 defensive back Raphael Dunn of Trenton (NJ) The Lawrenceville School on April 12. The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder is not yet ranked by the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings.
Dunn has visited Penn State, Rutgers, Illinois, Vanderbilt, and Southern California so far this spring. His other offers include Rutgers, Vanderbilt, and more.
2025
Spartan wide receiver coach Courtney Hawkins also extended an offer to class of 2025 wide receiver Quincy Porter of Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic. Porter spent the day in East Lansing on April 11 taking in spring practice. He also visited Ann Arbor and Notre Dame for unofficial visits while in the Midwest.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver holds other offers from Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, and more. Porter is ranked a four-star, the No. 56 overall recruit, the No. 4 overall receiver, and the No. 1 recruit in New Jersey by the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings.
Unoffered 2024 visitor
The Spartans will host 2024 defensive back Deonte Douglas (6-0, 181) of White Plains (NY) Archbishop Stepinac for an unofficial visit on April 14. Douglas only holds one offer from Rhode Island so far, but will also visit Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, and Penn State later this week.
