In tonight’s Nightly Recruiting Briefing we will discuss the latest Michigan State visitors. We will also discuss the latest Spartan social media.
Four-stars on campus
Michigan State welcomed a handful of top targets to campus for spring practice on March 25, including four-star running back Anthony Carrie of Tampa (FL) Carrollwood Day High School.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound back holds offers from Georgia, Alabama, Miami (FL), LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Oregon, Texas A&M, and more. Carrie ranks a four-star, the No. 237 overall recruit, the No. 17 running-back, and the No. 33 recruit in Florida by the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings.
It is the second trip to East Lansing for Carrie, who visited in June 2022, with teammate and Michigan State signee Eddie Pleasant of the 2023 class. North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and others are the main contenders for Carrie.
Jeremiah Beasley, of Belleville (MI) also made his way to Michigan State for the spring practice on Saturday. Beasley has visited Michigan this spring as the Wolverines are pushing Penn State, Michigan State, and Tennessee for the four-star linebacker.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound linebacker is ranked the No. 298 overall recruit, the No. 33 linebacker, and the No. 6 recruit in Michigan by the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings.
The third four-star visitor on campus was offensive tackle Fletcher Westphal of Leesburg (VA). Westphal made his third visit to Michigan State, as he visited last summer and again for the Ohio State game last fall.
Westphal is ranked a four-star, the No. 208 overall recruit, the No. 15 overall offensive tackle, and the No. 3 recruit in Virginia by the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings.
The 6-foot-8, 295-pound tackle holds offers from Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee, Oregon, Washington, Arkansas, Auburn, Virginia Tech, Florida, and more.
