Nigel Glover Schedules Two More Official Visits

The top available player in the transfer portal ahead of the 2023 season is squeezing in a few visits before college football preseason practices begin in earnest next week. Nigel Glover is kicking off his visit tour today at the University of Kentucky. Following his trip to Lexington there are visits planned to a few familiar recruiting foes.

The first stop for the Northwestern linebacker transfer is in East Lansing. On3’s SpartanMag reports Glover will attend Spartan Dawg Con, the lamest name that’s ever been given to a recruiting event ever. In addition to recruits, Mel Tucker brings back former Michigan State players for the final weekend of the offseason.

Following his trip to Michigan State, Nigel Glover will make the short drive to Ann Arbor for an official visit to Michigan. Kentucky and Michigan have consistently bumped heads on the recruiting trail since former Wildcat assistant Steve Clinkscale joined Jim Harbaugh’s staff. Michigan has logged their fair share of wins, but Vince Marrow picked up the most recent W when four-star cornerback Terhyon Nichols picked Kentucky over Michigan.

A 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker, Nigel Glover was the headliner of the highest-ranked recruiting class Pat Fitzgerald ever signed at Northwestern. On3 ranked Glover as the No. 239 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class. The four-star prospect is the No. 31 linebacker in the country, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

Unique circumstances at Northwestern forced Nigel Glover to go through the recruiting process one more time before beginning his college football career. Kentucky’s previous relationship may give the Wildcats a slight leg up, but it’s anybody’s guess what could happen during this unusual recruitment. It’s safe to presume we’ll hear a final decision from the four-star linebacker before preseason practices begin across the country next week.
