Missouri punter transfer Luke Bauer committed to Michigan Friday, and the program promptly announced that he signed and is an official member of the Wolverines.

Bauer has one season of eligibility remaining after spending the first five years of his collegiate career with the Missouri Tigers. He did not see game action from the 2020-22.

A two-time SEC Fall Academic Honor selection, Bauer started all 13 games last season for the Tigers. he punted 49 times for 2,047 yards (41.8 avg) and had 13 punts downed inside the opponent’s 20 yard line, along with 7 punts of 50-plus yards. Bauer was 6th in the SEC in punts and 8th in punting average and yards, respectively. He booted a season-long 61-yard punt against Iowa in the Music City Bowl. Bauer was also the holder for place kicks.

Michigan will hold its annual Maize vs. Blue spring game today, with kickoff set for 12:05 p.m. ET at The Big House. The game won’t air on television for another eight days — on April 27 at 11 a.m. ET.

Michigan men’s gymnastics is headed to the NCAA Finals. The Wolverines are hosting the championships and advanced to the finals after the second of two qualifying sessions on Friday.

The team finals are on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET, broadcast on ESPN2.

Michigan has expressed interest in Iowa quarterback transfer Brendan Sullivan.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Sullivan attended Davison (Mich.) High before beginning his college career at Northwestern (2021-23) and continuing it at Iowa (2024). Sullivan has one year of eligibility remaining and is in the portal as a graduate transfer.

Per Nakos, Sullivan will visit Tulane next week. He’s been in contact with Power Five schools, as well, including Michigan and Virginia Tech.
