Newsstand: Michigan has pledges from four of the 15 committed top-500 offensive linemen in 2024
Tweets Of The Day
Michigan landed a commitment from Austin (Texas) Vandegrift 2024 four-star offensive tackle Blake Frazier, the No. 273 overall player in the country. Frazier is the son of former Michigan offensive lineman Steve Frazier, who snapped for Tom Brady and was a part of the Wolverines’ 1997 national championship team.
From The Wolverine’s EJ Holland:
On300 Austin (Texas) Vandegrift offensive lineman Blake Frazier sided with U-M on Sunday, picking the Wolverines over fellow finalists Clemson, Florida, LSU and Texas.
“Coach (Sherrone) Moore obviously knows what he’s talking about,” Frazier said. “As an offensive lineman, it’s really hard to shy away from a school that has gone back-to-back in creating the best offensive line in the country. As far as wanting to go to the NFL, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of places better than Michigan right now.”
Michigan now has four offensive line commits in 2024, all of them ranking top 500 in the country per the On3 Industry Rankings. There are only 15 committed offensive linemen in the top 500.
The Michigan basketball staff has been comparing four-star RJ Greer to Jordan Poole.
No. 6 Michigan women’s tennis knocked off No. 7 Ohio State Sunday, capturing the 11th Big Ten championship in program history and the 10th since 2010. U-M won, 4-1.
Michigan has had four of the last seven Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honorees, including Aidan Hutchinson in 2021, the most recent.
Quote Of The Day
“I had truly planned all along to make my decision in July after taking all five of my official visits, but my plans changed and I think that this was one of those things that I didn’t have to think twice about. After my last trip to Michigan and hanging out with the guys I’ll be teammates with and seeing how the team practices and just the way I was treated like family, there isn’t a doubt in my mind that Michigan is home.”
