Newsstand: Michigan adds another four-star commit for 2025

Michigan landed a big commitment for the 2025 class on Friday, with Birmingham (Mich.) Groves offensive lineman Avery Gach making his pledge. From The Wolverine’s Zach Libby:
The second in-stater in the 2025 recruiting class to be pledged to the Wolverines, Gach made his decision public less than two weeks following his third return to Ann Arbor this spring for the program’s intrasquad scrimmage on April 20.
Gach is the fifth commit this cycle for head coach Sherrone Moore.
“All the visits there are consistent,” Gach told The Wolverine. “They’re all consistent in terms of the attention to detail on me, the presentations that they give me, making me feel like I’m at home and a priority. It’s big. I really like it.”
Gach chose the reigning national champions over notable offers from Michigan State, where he’s a legacy, Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama, Georgia, USC, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Auburn, Florida State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Miami, and others.
Entering the late spring at 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, Gach is listed as the No. 249 overall prospect and No. 19 interior offensive lineman in the country, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four primary recruiting media services. He’s also the No. 2 recruit in Michigan.
“(Michigan makes) Avery feel (like a priority) when he’s there,” father Dave Gach told The Wolverine. “Coach Moore is a teacher. Avery really did enjoy those two days of working on the field with him and seeing first-hand how he coaches.”
Yale transfer Danny Wolf has been committed to Michigan for weeks but has now signed his letter of intent.
Vladislav Goldin has also signed, after committing to Michigan on Monday. The Wolverines have two seven-footers in Wolf (7-0) and Goldin (7-1).
Michigan head coach Dusty May was in Boca Raton, Fla., Friday to support his former players (and Goldin) as they graduated from Florida Atlantic.
