The University of Michigan and The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame will unite to honor 2024 College Football Hall of Fame electee Steve Hutchinson (1997-2000) in a joint NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute during Michigan’s game against Texas today.
“A fierce competitor at 6-foot-5 and 299 pounds who towered over opponents, Steve Hutchinson dominated the line, never allowing a sack during his final two seasons at Michigan,” said Steve Hatchell, President and CEO, National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame, Inc. “We are thrilled to honor him at Michigan Stadium as a member of the 2024 NFF College Football Hall of Fame Class.”
Hutchinson will be officially inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame during the 66th Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Las Vegas on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. This black-tie affair will feature the induction of the 2024 College Football Hall of Fame Class, the presentation of the 2024 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Awards Presented by Fidelity Investments and the bestowing of the 35th William V. Campbell Trophy® to college football’s top scholar-athlete.
The event will stream on ESPN platforms.
Hutchinson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020.
