According to the ticket office, Michigan’s annual ‘Maize Out’ will be for the season opener against the Pirates, a noon game Sept. 2. The Wolverines did their Maize Out for Penn State last season, also a noon kickoff, after having it for the night game versus Washington in 2021.

The Athletic draft analyst Dane Brugler shows off how dynamic the Wolverines’ running back duo can be.

Michigan’s Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards have some MOVES. Both rank pretty high in my early RB rankings for the 2024 NFL Draft. https://t.co/ljm8fVWPmy pic.twitter.com/q0P3uLZAxv

Michigan Wolverines basketball has already begun summer practices, but head coach Juwan Howard and his staff are still looking to add to the roster, with two scholarship spots to work with. The latest target is former Memphis forward Malcolm Dandridge, a 6-foot-9, 260-pound big man who entered the transfer portal May 10.

Quote Of The Day

“The tradition of the Big Ten is still high-level athletes, smash-mouth football, Linebacker U, Tight End U, Offensive Line U, whatever it may be. These kids love contact. They love the hand fighting and 1-on-1 aspects of their jobs. That fits into what Michigan has done over the last few years with their recruiting classes and putting themselves in the national picture with a strong, sound, aggressive defense with very athletic linemen to the backfield. These two kids are extremely athletic. If that quarterback lines up and looks to his right and sees J. Smith and looks to his left and sees J. Smith, you’re going to have to give it a couple of different thoughts before you snap that ball.”
