New prediction: In-state 4-star LB to the Auburn Tigers

When Hugh Freeze first took over the Auburn program, he and his staff quickly flipped several recruits to help finish out the 2023 class. The crown jewel was Keldric Faulk, who is now gearing up to be a key contributor as a freshman.

Now, I think Auburn and Freeze are in prime position to add Faulk’s younger brother Jakaleb “JJ” Faulk, a 2025 4-star linebacker from Highland Home (Ala.). I have added another RPM pick for the Tigers to land Faulk with 60 percent confidence.

Faulk, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, is ranked the No. 14 edge in the 2025 class in the On3 Industry ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks the No. 151 overall recruit in the country and No. 11 in Alabama.

Faulk is listed as an edge, but Auburn is recruiting him as an inside and outside linebacker.

Faulk gave commitment date at Big Cat

Faulk told Auburn Live’s Jeffrey Lee after his Big Cat visit that he has a decision date locked in.

“I’m announcing Aug. 21,” he said.

Faulk said he will choose from his final group that includes Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Clemson.

“I’m going to have a commitment day/ceremony during school,” he said.

When asked whether or not he has an inkling of which school he might choose, Faulk didn’t hesitate.

“Yes, I have an idea,” he said. “I’m looking for people that want to bond with you, the people that’s really about family, the people that support you everyday and want to make you a better person off the field and a better player on the field.”

Even with his older brother being at Auburn, this will not be the main factor for the younger Faulk. Auburn Live recently learned that Auburn and Alabama stood out among others even after releasing a top five.

“It doesn’t do anything for me,” he said. “At the end of the day, I’m still going to do what I want to do.”
