New On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick for Ole Miss

Ole Miss has seen an uptick in recruiting in the last few weeks, earning commitments from four different 2024 prospects. Now it appears Lane Kiffin and the Rebels could be in line to add another to the Top 25 recruiting class.
The Rebels have been busy hosting official visitors left and right for the last month or so and now a 2024 prospect is inching closer and closer to a decision.
Three-star John F. Kennedy (La.) cornerback Bernard Causey was offered in May by defensive coordinator Pete Golding and the 6-foot, 170 pounder quickly honed in on Ole Miss. And now it appears the New Orleans, La., prospect is close to making a commitment public.
I have entered an Ole Miss commitment prediction for Causey with a 65 percent confidence level. On3’s national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman entered his RPM pick for Causey to pick Ole Miss in May.
Bernard Causey recently impressed On3’s Sam Spiegelman at LSU’s elite camp this month.
“Three-star New Orleans (La.) John F. Kennedy CB Bernard Causey has continued to have a brilliant offseason, turning the heads of several coaches in the process,” Spiegelman said. “Causey measured in at 6-foot-.5 and 161 pounds and clocked a 4.55-second 40. After posting strong testing numbers, Causey showed well in coverage.
“A little handsy at times, Causey has great stop-start quickness, enormous confidence and attacks the ball well at the back end of routes. He’s feisty and plays a very aggressive style.”
“He is long and moves seamlessly around in coverage,” Spiegelman said. “The New Orleans native moves effortlessly, and as a young defensive back brings a ton of upside to the position. Causey also has great ball skills and a nose for the football, and easily passes the eye test.”
Michigan has been lingering here but have to offer. Causey recently took an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor, Mich., to check out the Big 10 program. But for now it would appear the Rebels are in the lead.
Ole Miss’ 2024 class is currently ranked 21st in On3’s Industry Ranking Football Team Recruiting Rankings
Basha (Ariz.) four-star quarterback Demond Williams Jr., Bay Springs (Miss.) defensive lineman Kamron Beavers, Hillcrest (Ala.) safety Travaris Banks, Callaway (Miss.) three-star wide receiver Jeremy Scott, Pascagoula (Miss.) defensive lineman Jeffery Rush three-star Clarksdale (Miss.) Patrick Broomfield, three-star Edna Karr (La.) wide receiver Rahji Dennis, Southern Lab University School (La.) offensive tackle Jude Foster, South Gibson (Tenn.) athlete Cameron Clark, Natchitoches Central (La.) interior offensive lineman Joseph Cryer, CPA (Tenn.) interior offensive lineman John Wayne Oliver and Jones College (Miss.) linebacker Raymond Collins all make up Kiffin’s group thus far.
