New On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick for Ole Miss
As the weekend is here and the focus for Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin turns to recruiting ahead of a busy summer, the Rebels are feeling good about a few 2024 prospects. Specifically a few inside the state of Mississippi.
Ole Miss defensive line coach Randall Joyner and defensive coordinator Pete Golding have been busy inside state lines, recruiting some of the best recruits in the southeast. One in particular could be close to pulling the proverbial trigger to join Kiffin’s 2024 class.
Houston (Miss.) three-star William Echoles might be listed as an interior offensive lineman but Joyner and Golding are recruiting him as a defensive lineman. The 6-foot-4, 290 pound prospect hold notable offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, Louisville, Missouri and Houston but as of this writing the Rebels hold the edge.
He’s listed as the No. 51 defensive lineman in the 2024 class and the 13th-ranked recruit in the Magnolia State. As a junior, Echoles was a key cog for a Houston Hilltoppers team which finished 12-2. Their 2022 run ended in the MHSAA 4A semifinals.

Echoles comes from a very Mississippi State-friendly town. But the early offer from Joyner and Ole Miss seems to have paid dividends. If you remember, former Mississippi State defensive lineman and now Super Bowl champ Chris Jones was from Houston High School. Ole Miss was all but the favorite heading into signing day. But the local pressure was too much for Jones and he signed with the Bulldogs.
Earlier today, I entered an RPM pick for Clarksdale (Miss.) cornerback Patrick Broomfield to pick the Rebels. He could make his commitment public sooner rather than later.
Ole Miss’ 2024 class is currently ranked 32nd in the country.
Basha (Ariz.) four-star quarterback Demond Williams Jr., Picayune Memorial (Miss.) three-star running back Chris Davis, Winona Secondary School (Miss.) three-star linebacker Fred Clark, Callaway (Miss.) three-star wide receiver Jeremy Scott, Pascagoula (Miss.) defensive lineman Jeffery Rush and Jones College (Miss.) linebacker Raymond Collins are in the fold.
