New On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick for Ole Miss

Ole Miss is starting to get busy in the transfer portal. The Rebels have welcomed in plenty of visitors this first week and are aiming to reload for 2025.

Lane Kiffin started the week off by bringing in some defensive firepower. On Tuesday, the staff hosted former five-star, LSU EDGE Dashawn Womack. Ole Miss defensive line coach Randall Joyner and defensive coordinator Pete Golding were the hosts. Also, Rebel linebacker Pooh Paul chipped in as a host.

Upon leaving Oxford, Miss., vibes were high, per sources. Womack is already quite familiar with campus, the program and the coaching staff. He took an official visit when he was in high school and came awfully close to picking the Rebels before signing with LSU.

Now, I think he finally ends up at Ole Miss.

I have entered an Ole Miss commitment prediction for Womack with a 65 percent confidence level.

Womack played in all 12 games and had 13 total tackles as a freshman. He appeared in eight games this season. He was a five-star recruit in the 2023 class and ranked as No. 42 prospect nationally, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average which utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3’s Cody Bellaire was a huge fan of Womack coming out of high school.

“One of the most skilled and dominant pass rushers in the 2023 cycle. Elite athlete who shows serious juice and power coming off the edge. Ran an electronically-timed 4.76 40, jumped a 30” vertical and a 9’9” broad jump at 250 pounds in the spring prior to his senior season. Turned in a very productive senior season, tallying 15 sacks in ten games while playing a national schedule. Dominated against some top competition.

Ole Miss is looking to replace All-SEC First Team EDGE Princely Umanmielen and three-year starter Jared Ivey on the edge. Womack is an uber-talented prospect with loads of potential. And he will have two years of eligibility left as well.
