New offers giving 2024 ATH Antonio White a lot to consider

New offers giving 2024 ATH Antonio White a lot to consider

Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview athlete Antonio White has cashed in on his strong junior season and position change. White was primarily a wide receiver for his first two years of high school.

In 2022, he made the flip to safety and put up 75 tackles, three interceptions and a sack in his first full year of playing the position.

This offseason offers from Kentucky, Auburn, Texas A&M and others have flooded in White.

“It’s exciting to know that top schools are looking at a player like me,” White told On3. “It makes me happy. I’ve enjoyed it…Programs have said that I had a ‘phenomenal year’.”

White has had to adjust on the fly and begin working toward a potential decision.

“I’m trying to get as much as opportunities as I can,” White said. “Whichever offers come my way, I’ll take them.”

Some of the recent opportunities have grabbed White’s attention immediately.

Antonio White ready to learn about Texas A&M

White admittedly doesn’t know much about Texas A&M at the moment. Even still, the offer from the Aggies has a place high on White’s list.

He’s already been making plans to visit College Station but hasn’t set anything as of now.

That offer really meant a lot,” White said. “I feel like it really put me on the map. It put me where I need to be… Once I got that offer, it felt like everything else was going to start to come to me after that. Once I got that one, Auburn offered and Liberty offered.”

Kentucky is beginning to build a connection

White took a visit to Auburn back on March 13. He felt the love while on campus and had a good experience. White admits there’s still some work to do as far as building a relationship with the staff at Auburn.

White has strong relationships in place at multiple programs already. He named Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Texas A&M, North Carolina and Louisville as programs with a strong connection already brewing.

“It’s like they treat me like I’m already family,” White said. “It’s not like a coach to a player type of standpoint and it’s different. I can talk to them and I’m comfortable talking to them.”

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Kentucky as White’s leader at the moment. The Wildcats have a 61.1 percent chance of landing White according to RPM.

Kentucky is one of two programs that White has already locked in an official visit with at the moment. He will take an official visit to Kentucky on June 15. He’ll take an official visit to North Carolina as well. He’ll be in Chapel Hill on June 23.

“I want to see how they treat somebody off the campus,” White said. “I want to talk to them more, talk to that players more.”

Kentucky was White’s first SEC offer. It’s stuck with him throughout the process.

“I was surprised,” White said. “I was like there’s no way Kentucky is going to hit me up. We just kept getting on the phone and they threw the offer. I was like wow, that’s my first SEC offer. That’s big time… They’re selling me on what their program can do for me. They want to use me on the offensive side of the ball as well. They see that I can play both ways.”
