New Louisiana On3 RPM pick for LSU

2025 Ruston (La.) defensive back Aidan Anding added an offer Friday night from LSU as the Tigers look to make a move in his recruitment. I’ve added the first LSU prediction on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for the Tigers to land the new target.

Texas is still the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine leader, but after LSU offered, Anding is pushing back a commitment that was scheduled for this weekend. Arkansas, Miami, TCU and Texas remain in the mix for him.

“What really caused me to push it back was because I thought I had a school in mind, but like then, like I started looking at the bigger picture of things and the reality of things like the roster, the depth chart of the schools and the playing time I get.”

Anding plans a decision in July and also plans to attend LSU’s Bayou Splash. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, he ranks as the No. 58 corner in America. On3 is higher on him, ranking him as the No. 42 overall cornerback in the country.

LSU currently has the No. 3 overall class in the country and No. 2 class in the SEC with 12 commits on board.

Anding already spent time earlier this year in Baton Rouge as he’s been in contact with multiple staffers.

“It did mean a lot. I was looking for it earlier in my own recruiting time, but I can’t complain. It mean a lot though because it’s in-state, so it’s easy for family to get around so it was good,” Anding told On3. “I really like the coaching staff, they all seen my film. They really loved it, but they wish I would have came to camp, but I couldn’t make it because all of my visits and my days in June was filled. They all say they love my film and they really wanted me.

“Since I got the offer from LSU, I’m looking forward to see what LSU has to offer.”

Anding also visited for a Junior Day this year and he enjoyed being around Brian Kelly’s program.

“It was all nice, most of the coaches were cool, some of the players I’ve seen and talked to, they was cool,” he said. “I could tell the environment of the program and the support stuff that LSU has is big.”
