Nebraska Recruiting Notebook: May 15th

A lot was going on today for Nebraska recruiting. The Nebraska staff was on the road checking in on a pair of wide receiver targets, and several new offers were made in Texas to 2026 recruits.

A talented safety target is fresh off of a decommitment and is considering taking an official visit to Nebraska. Oh, and Nebraska will check in on one of the best linebackers in the country on Thursday.

Here is your Nebraska Recruiting Notebook:

“It was always my dream to play at ASU and be the local guy. But I want to go experience something in college and outside the state!”

Several new offers to Texas recruits were made on Wednesday

Four new offers were made to underclassmen on Wednesday. The Nebraska staff was in Dallas and San Antonio to see a pair of 2025 receivers, but they were also out to check in on several juniors as well:

A little look ahead: the Nebraska staff will be in Kansas on Thursday to see four-star linebacker Dawson Merritt. The news on Wednesday about Merritt was that he was down to Alabama and Nebraska. The Huskers are following up on that news by coming by his high school to see him just weeks after he took his official visit to Lincoln.

Merritt takes his official visit to Alabama on June 7th. Things have sped up with Merritt when it comes to his process. He moved up the official visit to Nebraska from June to April and had planned to take at least four official visits. Now, he is only planning on taking the trips to his top two schools.
