Nebraska pushing to get an official visit from four-star ATH Dylan Robinson

Nebraska pushing to get an official visit from four-star ATH Dylan Robinson

Earlier in May, Nebraska extended an offer to four-star athlete Dylan Robinson from La Verne (Calif.) Bonita. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Robinson says he has heard from Nebraska for a little while and that the Nebraska staff had visited his high school a couple of times since winter to check in on him before they offered.

“I just picked up an offer from Nebraska this month,” Robinson said. “We have been talking for a minute. The coach wasn’t here when they offered. They have been by a couple of times to see me and have called me a couple of times.”

Nebraska defensive coordinator Tony White is the coach who offered Robinson. Robinson says that he’s also talked to two of the other defensive assistant coaches at Nebraska.

“Coach White is the coach that offered me. Coach Dvoracek has been talking to me. I have been talking to both of them really. I have talked to Coach Cooper once or twice.”

Nebraska can see Dylan Robinson on defense

The Huskers have talked about Robinson playing either cornerback or safety in their defense. He likes the idea of moving a little closer to the box and playing some nickel as well.

“They like me on defense,” Robinson said. “I could go down and play nickel a little more. It would be more of a safety or a cornerback kind of guy.”

Robinson already has four official visits set up. Nebraska is talking to him about taking a trip to see Lincoln, and he says he is considering a fifth visit.

“I have Washington, Utah, UCLA, and Notre Dame set up right now,” Robinson said. “There are quite a few visits set up for me right now. I might make one more.

“We have talked about it (with Nebraska). They want me to make it up there. Arizona State and Nebraska are the two schools that I am really considering for a fifth official visit. I am not really sure if I want to take five visits because it’s a lot of traveling.”

An official visit to Nebraska could be huge for the Huskers based on what Robinson is looking for. The people at Nebraska are is consistently the favorite thing for visitors during post-visit interviews.

“The main thing for me on the visits is the people. I am looking for good people and a good culture. It’s really about good culture, good people, good coaches, and places that will develop me as a man as much as a football player.”
