NC State vs. VMI live pregame update blog

NC State will kick off its week 3 showdown with VMI at 2 p.m. ET Saturday afternoon. The Wolfpack is looking to get back into the win column after dropping its home opener to Notre Dame.

Coming into the matchup, both teams are 1-1, and NC State is favored by 40.5 points.

A couple of quick injury notes:

*** Wolfpack safety Jakeen Harris is out for the season due to a torn pectoral muscle. Sean Brown or Bishop Fitzgerald will start in his place, but both will likely play a lot.

*** Safety Rakeim Ashford is day-to-day and, if he does not play this week, is on track to play against UVA week 4.
