Nate Noel injury update: Missouri RB’s status updated on Friday injury report vs. Auburn
Ahead of the all-Tiger matchup tomorrow in CoMo, Auburn vs. Missouri has had its final injury report released. Nate Noel is the most notable change for Mizzou, moving up to probable.
In the updates from Wednesday to Thursday, almost all of the designations remained the same for the two teams.
Auburn had the exact four names listed as out. Jamonta Waller, Tyler Scott, Champ Anthony, and Brandon Frazier will all be unavailable in their first game back off of the bye.
However, Mizzou had some significant updates. While four players remain out, Luther Burden, their top receiver and one of the best players in the country, came off the designation entirely after originally being probable. Triston Newton also saw improvement from questionable to probable. That shifts the focus to Nate Noel, their leading rusher, as he remained questionable for the game.
Here’s the final release for the injury report between Auburn and Missouri ahead of tomorrow’s kickoff:
Friday Injury Report for Auburn vs. Missouri
Auburn:
OLB Jamonta Waller – Out
DB Tyler Scott – Out
DB Champ Anthony – Out
TE Brandon Frazier – Out
Missouri:
DE Darris Smith – Out
QB Sam Horn – Out
LB Khalil Jacobs – Out
DE Joe Moore – Out
WR Marquis Johnson – Questionable
RB Nate Noel – Probable
Auburn is in need of this one considering they’re already at 2-4 overall, including at 0-3 in the SEC. They have yet to beat a power opponent with their only wins being over Alabama A&M and New Mexico and their four losses, three of which were at home, being to California and then now a losing skid to open conference play in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Georgia. If it’s not already, bowl-eligibility would be in major jeopardy without a win in one of their two games left in October.
Missouri also could use this victory in order to legitimize itself again in the Southeastern Conference. Despite still being in the Top-25, Mizzou has had issue in their three games against actual opponents, including a double-overtime win over Vanderbilt and then a 31-point blowout loss to Texas A&M. Ahead of a trip to Tuscaloosa, a win over Auburn to at least be at 6-1 when they play the Crimson Tide would be important for the Tigers.
