NASCAR to review Corey LaJoie, Kyle Busch Pocono wreck: ‘It got some folks attention’

Brad Moran, the NASCAR Cup Series managing director shared some news on the wreck involving Corey LaJoie and Kyle Busch. On SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Moran said “It got some folks attention,” and NASCAR will look at the footage, audio and SMT, per Kelly Crandall of Racer.

LaJoie spun Busch going into Turn 1 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday with 40 laps to go. After a restart, Busch blocked LaJoie to the left down the straightway, which led to LaJoie hitting Busch in the left rear. Busch’s car went down onto the apron before returning to the track and collected Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Ryan Preece, Harrison Burton and AJ Allmendinger.

After the race, LaJoie spoke to NASCAR.com about the wreck. “You’ve got to take the run,” he said, per Racer. “I’m not the guy that wants to wreck anybody but I think if Kyle blocks only once, then we both go around the corner and live to fight another day. But that second block that he thought he had covered and he didn’t, was what did him and did a couple of other guys in.”
