NASCAR throws red flag, puts FireKeepers Casino 400 on hold due to Michigan weather

After a delay before the start of the FireKeepers Casino 400, the race has officially been halted with a red flag due to incoming weather. The drivers have brought their vehicles to pit road to be covered.

NASCAR will then notify the teams when they can return to the cars to get the covers off in the event of a restart.

A large cell of weather with some yellow on the radar was incoming at the time the cars came back to pit road. Drivers never got back to racing after Stage 1 ended.
