NASCAR Studios announces three new shows for Cup Series Playoffs
NASCAR Studios announced Wednesday it has launched three new shows for the 2024 Cup Series playoffs, which begin this Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Jeff Gluck of The Athletic revealed the show lineup on X. “NASCAR Inside the Playoffs” will air Thursdays at 7 p.m. ET on truTV and Max. The weekly show stars Shannon Spake of NASCAR Digital Media/TNT Sports, NBC Sports analyst Steve Letarte, Mamba Smith of NASCAR.com and Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic, as well as rotating driver panelists. Two-time Cup Series champion will appear on the first two episodes.
“NASCAR Daily,” hosted by Spake, will serve as a digital news and opinion show with regular guest appearances. It will also include weekly sports betting segment featuring analyst Erica Renee Davis. The show airs weekday morning at 10 a.m. ET on YouTube.
The final show to debut is “Drop the Jack.” The video podcast features Smith and pit crew athletes Derrell Edwards, Paul Swan, Michael Hicks and Jorden Paige. “Drop the Jack” comes out Thursdays on YouTube and podcast platforms.
“This is going to be so much fun,” Spake said in a statement. “I get to talk about the sport I have been a part of for 20 years in two totally different settings, alongside some of my greatest friends and most respected peers in the industry. The fans have been so good to me over the years, and I’m excited to take them further inside the action of the postseason while staying up to speed on some of the fun and entertaining things unfolding away from the track.”
