Mykel Williams injury update: Georgia DL listed doubtful on availability report
Weekly availability reports are now mandatory for SEC teams in 2024, and Week 3 provides a great matchup between the Georgia Bulldogs and Kentucky Wildcats.
Saturday will mark the SEC opener for Georgia after facing Clemson in the opener and Tennessee Tech in Athens. Kentucky has already faced a conference foe, dropping one at home to South Carolina. Head coach Mark Stoops is looking to avoid an 0-2 SEC record to start the season.
Unfortunately, both teams will be dealing with some injuries heading into the game. The latest availability report was provided on Wednesday afternoon.
Georgia:

Kentucky looking to break long losing streak to Georgia
Georgia and Kentucky have been playing annually for a long time, dating back to 1956. The series between them began in 1939 and it’s been one the Bulldogs have dominated with 63 wins. In fact, they have not lost since 2009 in Athens.
Stoops has been around Kentucky for a decade and never been able to get past Georgia. All 10 games have resulted in losses and not many of them have been close, with the 2016 matchup, Kirby Smart‘s first season with Georgia, turning out to be just a three-point margin of victory.
According to the people in Las Vegas, Saturday at Sanford Stadium might not wind up being too close. The opening line was Georgia being a 24.5-point favorite, per FanDuel. Trying to get them on the money line at -4500. Meanwhile, Kentucky is a large underdog at +1600.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT, a night game in Athens. ABC will have the broadcast as the premier SEC game of the weekend. Even if the gambling line is quite large, it’s always fun to see Georgia and Kentucky get together. Seeing the matchup early in the season only adds to the flair.
