Motorsports world wishes Tony Stewart a happy 52nd birthday
Smoke turns 52! With all that he’s done in auto-racing, Tony Stewart is receiving well-wishes from all over the motorsports world. Of course, you can talk about his work in IndyCar or his NASCAR career – why not his sprint car experience, or perhaps you like the latest version of Stewart in the NHRA? No matter what version you like best, we can all celebrate the legend.
The Indiana native has to have motor oil in his veins. No matter what he is up to, he’s generally behind the wheel of a car. An IndyCar champion in 1997. Three-time Cup Series champion. There have been so many wins and races and accolades, about 52 years worth.
Nowadays, Tony Stewart is traveling at 270+ MPH down a drag strip in one of his Top Fuel dragsters. Oh, and he has his own team that he competes against.
If you wanted to take a trip down memory lane, then there is a great way to do that via Fox NASCAR. When you put all of his highlights and awards and victories together, it is impressive. Whether that was in the No. 20, the No. 14, or in a sprint car during the week. Smoke showed that he could do it all.
The ultimate wheelman just keeps going.
Of course, Tony Stewart still has his hands in NASCAR. While he has expressed a lot of displeasure with the sport lately, he can’t get out of stock car racing forever. The Stewart-Haas Racing team put out a message for their boxman.
From the booth to the garage and back to the race track – that’s pretty much the schedule that Smoke runs now.
Tony Stewart building success in NHRA
It shouldn’t surprise anyone at this point in his career, but Tony Stewart is still winning races in a new series. The racer tried his hand at drag racing in 2022 and now in 2023, he’s running a full schedule.
Would it surprise you that he already has a couple of wins this year? NHRA is going to have to figure out what to do with Smoke because he’s getting better every week. Stewart is back in the NHRA this weekend as the series takes on Route 66 Raceway. He’s also going to join the booth for part of the presentation.
Just think about this, if Tony Stewart stays in NHRA, he could have a long career still. John Force is in his 70s and still going strong and winning in his Funny Car. As long as that hand can keep it steady and those drag cars are speeding down the track, these drivers will keep competing.
So, another 20+ years of Smoke burning rubber and fuel? Sounds too good to be true, but then again, so does the rest of Tony Stewart’s career. Happy birthday to the racing legend!
