Mix in a Water Monday: Welcome to a new year
Welcome back college football and welcome back Mix in a Water Monday.
If you’re new to Gamecock Central this fall, first, welcome aboard! If not, then you already know the drill. Each Monday during the course of the season, a former Gamecock football player will join me to recap the game from the previous week. In that video segment, we’ll hit on everything – the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Two things my college coaches always told us:
1- The eye (camera) in the sky don’t lie
2- Until you go back and watch the tape, things are rarely as bad, or as good, as you think they are

The point is with both, we’ll call it like we see it and use that time to educate our subscribers as to what took place the previous game and where the Gamecocks can improve moving forward.
But that’s not the only show we have coming back this year. In fact, there’s even more shows. I keep getting asked what my deal is this fall and where I’ll be. I’ve answered this a few times on social media, and at events in recent weeks, but I’ll add it here in this story: I’m back in South Carolina this fall. I was fortunate enough to work as a freelance sports anchor/reporter at WBZ-TV in Boston last fall but going into it I knew that position was temporary. That’s why I was extremely grateful that Shoe allowed me to stay on with Gamecock Central by working remotely last fall. I say all of that because now that I’m back down in Columbia, there’s more shows that are scheduled this fall to give you guys even more Gamecock content than ever before. Here’s a look at what you can expect.

Mondays:
Mix in a Water Monday; Monday mornings
Recapping the previous game with a former Gamecock football player and looking ahead to the next game

Tuesdays:

In addition to this content, they’ll be additional shows throughout the season by the GC crew including “The Walk-Thru” on Sunday nights with ‘Intern’ Joe and other GC Live programing during the week with Wes Mitchell and Chris Clark.
As I head into my ninth year of covering SEC football, and my eighth covering the Gamecocks, I couldn’t be more fired up. Hope to see some of you in the comment sections of these shows and feel free to call-in as well when we post the number.
