Mike McCarthy reveals conversation with Micah Parsons after linebacker’s postgame comments
Micah Parsons turned a few heads on Sunday evening after Dallas lost to Philadelphia, alluding to head coach Mike McCarthy leaving while saying players have put in work. Since then, Parsons has claimed his words were being twisted and his intention did not have anything against McCarthy.
Less than 24 hours later, the two have spoken to one another about the comments. McCarthy says the moment was handled “like men” and Parsons directly told his head coach there was nothing against him in the quote.
“Mike McCarthy said he spoke to Micah Parsons about the edge rusher’s comments after last night’s game,” ESPN’s Todd Archer said via X. “’Handled things like men,’ McCarthy said, adding Parsons’ intent was not to question the coach.”
