Mike Gundy on D-II transfer Obi Ezeigbo: ‘He was very inexpensive’
Oklahoma State star linebacker Collin Oliver was injured in a win over Arkansas on Saturday and is likely done for the year, per head coach Mike Gundy.
Oliver is being replaced in the starting lineup by Division II transfer Obi Ezeigbo. Mike Gundy was incredibly honest about what it’s like going from Collin Oliver to Obi Ezeigbo as a starter.
He didn’t hide the fact that it’s a pretty big drop off and that Ezeigbo wasn’t highly-recruited out of the transfer portal.
“Do you want me to go back into coach talk or do you want the truth?” Gundy said, per Max Olson. “He was very inexpensive. The number of players that we go after that were ready to play at this level, we can’t afford.”
