Michigan State to host a pair of elite 2025 OL for SpartanDawg Con

Michigan State to host a pair of elite 2025 OL for SpartanDawg Con

Michigan State already holds four commitments on the offensive line in the class of 20224, as all four members will visit East Lansing on July 28 for SpartanDawg Con. Three-stars Andrew Dennis of Mount Pleasant (MI), along with Logan Bennett of Baltimore (MD), will be joined by twin lineman Mercer and Charlton Luniewski for the event.

Spartan associate head coach/run game coordinator/offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic will welcome a pair of top targets to return to Michigan State at the end of the month.

In-state lineman to return to campus

Michigan State and Kapilovic will welcome back elite in-state talent in Avery Gach of Franklin (MI) Wylie E. Groves on July 28. The 6-foot-5, 265-pounder has cemented himself as a nationally elite prospect, holding offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, and more. Gach visited Michigan State in April of 2023, along with twice during the 2022 season. He also visited Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame this spring. The Spartans look to maintain their early standing with Gach, as he continues to garner national attention.

The Spartans have a slight advantage with both of his parents attending Michigan State. The four-star is very familiar with the Spartan program. Although, he continues to entertain leaving the state of Michigan for college.

“I want to take my time,” Gach told On3.com. “When the time’s right, I’ll make my decision or cut it down. I’m going to take my time and not rush anything at all.”

Gach is ranked a four-start, the No. 172 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked the No. 9 interior lineman, and the No. 3 recruit in Michigan.

Ohio four-star also making his return

Another big addition for Kapilovic and Michigan State offensive line recruiting came in adding four-star tackle Carter Lowe, of Toledo (OH) Whitmer, to the July 28 visitor list. The Ohio tackle holds a strong offer list including Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and more. He is ranked a four-star, the No. 195 overall recruit by the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. He is also ranked the No. 15 offensive tackle, and the No. 7 recruit in Ohio.

Lowe (6-5, 285), visited East Lansing on April 1 for a spring practice. He also visited Ohio State (twice) and Michigan in June, along with trips in April as well. The Spartans look to hang in the race for Lowe along side other Big Ten powers. Getting both Gach and Lowe on campus this month will go a long way in securing future visits from the elite lineman.
