Michigan State offers top100 WR Quincy Porter while on campus
Michigan State welcomed one of the top wide receivers and overall prospects in the 2025 class to spring practice on Tuesday (April 11), in Quincy Porter. Porter is ranked a four-star, the No. 56 overall recruit, the No. 4 wide receiver and the No. 1 recruit in New Jersey by the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound receiver out of Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic School holds offers from Ohio State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Michigan, Tennessee, and more. He has visited Michigan and Notre Dame so far this spring. It was the first trip to Michigan State for the four-star.
Porter had his eyes on Michigan State wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins during the practice.
“It was great, you can tell they practice hard, It was good (to watch),” Porter said of Hawkins. “He makes sure all the players stay locked in on every drill and keep the intensity up.”
The four-star also met with Hawkins after practice, where he was extended the Michigan State offer.
“We got along real well,” Porter said. “He told me how I would be able to fit into their offense.”
Porter also met with head coach Mel Tucker after the practice. The conversations with Tucker stood out coming away from campus.
“It was good,” Porter said. “We had a great conversation in his office. The way he was honest and being real with me on what goes on at MSU (stood out). I really appreciated it.”
Porter currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $50K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
