Michigan State Nightly Recruiting Briefing: New 2026 OL offer

New offer- 2026 OL
Michigan State offered class of 2026 offensive lineman Jackson Cantwell of Nixa (MO) on July 21. The rising sophomore will enter the 2024 season at 6-foot-8, 270-pounds. His other offers include Oklahoma, Tennessee, Oregon, Texas A&M, Miami (FL), and more. The lineman will camp with Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee later this month.
Cantwell was offered by Michigan State associate head coach/run game coordinator/offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic.
“It was pretty much brand new,” Cantwell told SpartanMag.com. ”The only thing I knew was that through my coaches that I needed to call Coach Kapilovic. I learned most of what I know about MSU during and after that phone call.”
“I’ve heard good things about their program,” he said. ”I also think that Coach Kap is a good OL coach from what I’ve looked at, and he seems like a pretty genuine and good guy as well. They seem like a good team overall.”
On the field, its easy to see why Kapilovic likes the rising sophomore.
“As a player I would say that I specialize in zone blocking and climbing to the second level,” Cantwell said. ”Also that I have a lot of weight room and on-field strength, as well as being very explosive and athletic compared to most offensive tackles”

Michigan State is smart to enter the race early, for what already projects to be one of the busier offensive line recruitments in the 2026 class. Kapilovic has done well building early relationships in the class of 2026, including in-state lineman Khalief Canty. Canty holds offers from Michigan, Tennessee, Auburn, Penn State, Wisconsin and more.
The Spartans will also host another pair of in-state 2026 lineman for SpartanDawg Con on July 28. Michigan State legacy Gregory Patrick of Portage (MI), along with Ben Nichols of Davison (MI), will both visit as both prospects hold early Spartan offers.
