Michigan State lands 2025 Orchard Lake (MI) St. Mary’s OL Antonio Johnson

Michigan State added a new commitment to the 2025 recruiting class, adding offensive lineman Antonio Johnson, of Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary’s High School. Johnson (6-4, 310) announced his decision via social media.

Johnson was offered by Michigan State offensive line coach Jim Michalczik back in December of 2023, shortly after the position coach arrived in East Lansing. His other offers include Penn State, Illinois, West Virginia, and others.

The offensive lineman becomes the fourth commitment at St. Mary’s prep, joining linebacker Charles White, tight end Jayden Savoury, and athlete Bryson Williams. White, Savoury, and Williams have all been committed to Michigan State since the summer. Orchard Lake running back Darrin Jones will join the Spartans as a walk-on as a member of the 2025 class as well.

“Michigan State, when I go down there it’s like it’s home,” Johnson recently told SpartanMag.com. “I am always with my guys when I go down there. With Bryson, Jayden, and DJ committed there, those are my real brothers. We are playing together right now. If I could keep playing with them, that would be an amazing thing.”

Johnson is ranked a three-star, the No. 1,355 overall recruit in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. He is also ranked the No. 117 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 26 recruit in Michigan. I currently believe Johnson is underrated after seeing him in person several times.

The athletic lineman reshaped his body for his senior season, playing a plethora of snaps as a defensive tackle as well for Orchard Lake St. Mary’s this fall. Johnson has the frame, athleticism, and strength to be a plus addition on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

Michigan State now holds three commitments on the offensive line. Johnson joins Macomb (MI) Dakota offensive tackle Justin Bell, along with California interior lineman Drew Nichols in the 2025 Spartan class. The Spartans now hold 16 commitments in the class of 2025.
