Michigan State commitments and targets gearing up for SpartanDawg Con

Michigan State commitments and targets gearing up for SpartanDawg Con

Michigan State coaches and recruiting department will spend the next couple weeks preparing for annual recruiting event, ‘SpartanDawg Con’. The event will take place on July 28. The event is centered around former players reuniting in East Lansing, also joined by current players, recruits, coaches and families. Michigan State will welcome a plethora of recruits on campus, using the event as a recruiting tool. In this article, we will take a look at some of the current commits and targets planning to be in East Lansing.

2024 commits and David Stone?

The Spartans will welcome the majority of their 2024 class back to campus as the commits will have another chance to continue to build their bonds. It is always a positive to have the commitments back to campus as often as possible, not just to keep them committed, but also to help recruit their peers.

Nick Marsh, the newest and highest ranked commitment of the group tells SpartanMag.com he will be in East Lansing for the event. Marsh will be joined by fellow in-state commitment Andrew Dennis of Mount Pleasant (MI) on the visit along with other Spartan offensive line commitments Mercer and Charlton Luniewski. Michigan State running back commitment Anthony Carrie of Tampa (FL) Carrollwood Day will also return back to campus on July 28, he tells SpartanMag.com.

Michigan State will look to add a major addition to the list, as SpartanMag.com is told there is an increasing likelihood that five-star defensive tackle David Stone will return to East Lansing on July 28. Stone took an official visit to East Lansing on June 23, also visiting Oklahoma, Florida, and Miami (FL) in June. The home-state Sooners have always been the team to beat for Stone, with Michigan State continuing to push Oklahoma for the top spot. There is optimism in East Lansing that the Spartans could host back-to-back visits in the Stoen recruitment, as the dead period ends on July 25.

Recently offered 2026 OL legacy tentatively planned

Michigan State associate head coach/run game coordinator/offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic offered class of 2026 offensive lineman Gregory Patrick, of Portage (MI) Nothern, after the June 23 on campus camp. Patrick (6-4, 260) is entering his sophomore season with other offers from Oklahoma, Central Michigan, and Minnesota. His father, Joseph Patrick, played offensive line for the Spartans in the late 1990s. His uncle Chris Patrick graduated from Nebraska before a stint in the NFL.

SpartanMag.com will continue to monitor the event and provides updates as more recruits are added to the list.
