Miami Hurricanes’ Kevin Beard checks up on 2025 LB Noah Mikhail, and 4-star appreciates the school evaluation
Miami receivers coach Kevin Beard dropped by La Verne (Calif.) Bonita High School Monday to evaluate 2025 four-star linebacker prospect Noah Mikhail. Mikhail was in Coral Gables April 14 for an unofficial visit to Miami, and Bonita head coach Steve Bogan said Beard wanted to ensure Mikhail is remaining a priority for the Hurricanes.
“Everybody’s recruiting him,” Bogan said. “He’s got offers from all over the place. But for somebody to fly all the way across the country from Florida, that says a lot. That means a lot to him.”
Beard spoke to Bogan on the phone Sunday night to let him know the Hurricanes are “very, very interested in Noah” after Miami impressed the 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker on his unofficial trip. Mikhail is the No. 43 overall prospect in the On300 and No. 51 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted service that uses data from all four major recruiting sites.
“Coach (Beard), he said ‘I want to make sure, I want to show him some love and he makes sure he knows we want him,’” Bogan said. “I know Noah has not made any specific decisions (on his recruitment). He’s still young. I think coach Beard, I think he’s a good recruiter.”
Ohio State and USC also visited Bonita Monday to watch Mikhail practice, but Bogan said the four-star is holding his cards close to his chest and has been careful not to lean in one direction. However, there’s no denying both sides have interest in each other.
“The fact that (Miami) flew out on their own dime to see the school and stuff, (Mikhail) definitely has interest,” Bogan said. “Southern California and Florida are probably some of the best-weather places to be. I just know he has interest, or they wouldn’t have gone (to Miami April 14). He was definitely pleased that coach (Beard) flew out. I know he’s recruiting other guys too.”
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lists USC as the early favorite ahead of Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Washington. Mikhail has more than two dozen total offers and has taken multiple visits to USC, Notre Dame and Texas A&M. He’s visited 10 total programs also including Oklahoma, Michigan and Texas.

Beard also visited Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral this week to watch a handful of underclassmen with Miami offers work out and San Jacinto, where he later offered 2024 four-star receiver Dillon Gresham over the phone.
