Miami becomes latest program to offer fast-rising 2025 top-100 ATH: “It was kind of crazy”

After exploding on the recruiting scene following an impressive sophomore season, Power 5 offers began pouring in for 2025 Germantown (Tenn.) four-star ATH Jamarion Morrow. With his recruitment continuing to gain traction, the Miami Hurricanes became the latest program to offer Morrow after being evaluated by tight ends coach Cody Woodiel.
“It was kind of crazy because the coach came out to our practice about a month ago, and after he left, he said he would get back with me, and he did,” Morrow told CaneSport. “He stood on what he said he was going to do, and I appreciate that a lot.”
With offers from Tennessee, Oregon, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Maryland, TCU, Colorado, Mississippi State, Louisville, Indiana, Missouri, Purdue, and Ole Miss, among others, Morrow himself has been surprised with all the attention he has garnered as of late.
“It’s kind of crazy because I never thought I would be this highly rated,” Morrow said. “I don’t think it has really hit me. It feels great, and I feel very blessed.”
Now that Miami is in the picture, Morrow, who is the 94th overall prospect in the 2025 class, per On3’s Industry Ranking, has a high interest in the Hurricanes despite not knowing much about the program.
“Of course, everyone knows Miami for Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Sean Taylor,” Morrow said. “As of right now, I only really know about the coaching staff, but I want to learn more.”
While his relationship with the Hurricanes has just begun to blossom, the 5-foot-9, 180-pound prospect who hauled in 554 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns last season hopes to get down to Coral Gables soon.
‘”I would really love to take a visit,” Morrow said. “I just have to find a date and a way to get down there.”
Morrow wants to become more familiar with the staff and South Florida and also get a better understanding of how he would potentially fit into the program if he were to become a Hurricane at the end of the day.
“I want to see how they play and how their offense runs,” Morrow said. “I want to see how they would use me if I were to play for the Miami Hurricanes.”
CaneSport’s take
Morrow is an explosive athlete who was used in a variety of ways during his sophomore season as he helped lead his Germantown (Tenn.) squad to an 11-3 record. While watching his film, the one drawback you might find is his lack of size, which he compensates for with his explosiveness and playmaking abilities.
