MBB: South Carolina hosting four-star transfer portal guard
Mount St. Mary’s four-star transfer guard Dakota Leffew will take an official visit to South Carolina this weekend, GamecockCentral has learned.
The 6-foot-5, 185-pounder has emerged as a priority transfer portal target for Lamont Paris and the Gamecocks and has a top six of South Carolina, Syracuse, Georgia, Pitt, Villanova, and Xavier.
Since entering the portal, Leffew has already taken visits to Syracuse and Villanova.
It is also believed that UGA will be a major factor for the Hampton, Ga. native.

South Carolina, in search of a guard and big man to supplement its roster, will look to convince Leffew that he’s the perfect fit to replace guards Ta’lon Cooper and Meechie Johnson from last year’s NCAA Tournament squad.
Leffew, an All-MAAC first-teamer, averaged 17.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game this season.
A four-star prospect, Leffew is ranked the No. 155 overall prospect and No. 16 combo-guard in the transfer portal by the On3 Industry Ranking.
