Mark Pope bought Rupp Arena ice cream for everyone at his postgame show

Mark Pope had the biggest turnout of the year for his postgame radio show at Rupp Arena, and, frankly, it was as big as any postgame show in over a decade, too. The Big Blue Nation packed Rupp to the very top of the arena for the Kentucky game, and many stayed late to see Pope, as seen here in this photo from Mrs. Tyler Thompson.

The fans who stuck around were rewarded for their support because, since he couldn’t sign autographs, Mark Pope bought a round of the famous Taylor Belle’s Ice Cream for the whole crowd.

“The word on the street is, here in Rupp Arena, we have the best ice cream in the world,” Pope said. “So, Mrs. Lee Anne dropped her credit card off at the ice cream stand right up here, so it’s on me tonight. Go help yourselves. Get some ice cream on the way out. Enjoy it, and thank you guys for coming here. Let’s go Cats.”

This guy is unbelievable.

Mark Pope just said he couldn’t sign autographs after his radio show, but as a consolation prize, he left his credit card at the Rupp Arena ice cream stand for fans to get as much as they wanted on their way out
