Mailbag Podcast: Transfer portal action to come for Tennessee football, basketball?
Tennessee football is done with spring practice, so the only thing going on right now is evaluating players in the second window of the transfer portal. Will Tennessee actually add anyone and if not, is that ok? Could there be any more players leave the program for the portal?
Rick Barnes is continuing to build his roster for next basketball season as the program has hosted several players from the transfer portal in recent days. Where do the Vols stand with Igor Milicic, Felix Okpara and others? What’s the latest with Tobe Awaka?
The Volquest crew of Brent Hubbs, Austin Price, Grant Ramey and Eric Cain answer these questions and many more on recruiting in this week’s episode of the mailbag podcast. Quote on the football transfer portal
Brent Hubbs on the lack of movement for Tennessee football in the transfer portal…
“It doesn’t even feel like they are going to visit anybody at this point. I mean, this doesn’t feel like anything is going to happen there. But again, you’ve got five days left or six days left in the portal window until it closes and then you never know what happens over that stretch of days. But it just feels like it’s real quiet for Tennessee right now. I think it’s been kind of quiet overall to a degree. I mean, there’s been some movement, but it’s not been chaos for sure.”
