Quote of the Pod on Tennessee

Brent Hubbs on the notion that Tennessee had a poor fall camp…

“I don’t know about a poor fall camp. We weren’t there to see how practice went every day so I don’t – I can’t answer or say that it was a poor fall camp. They didn’t play well, Saturday night, okay to be frank. Which means you got to beat some SEC teams coming down the pike here, right?

To beat South Carolina, you’ve got to tackle better in space because South Carolina is going to attack you. Particularly in stuff underneath 10 yards. You’re going to have to contain Spencer Rattler who’s going to run around like a madman. You’re going to have to try to contain him….Joe’s got to play better – nobody on here has ever suggested that Joe’s playing perfect and nothing’s his fault. He’s got to play better. They’ve got to play much better on the offensive line. They’ve got to play much better blocking at the tight end position and in the running back position and pass protection. They’ve got to be better across the board on offense and defensively. Tackling in space and the underneath stuff I think is good because South Carolina is going sideline to sideline like they did a year ago.”
