Madden Williams an Early Priority for Oregon in 2026

Madden Williams an Early Priority for Oregon in 2026

Oregon is wasting no time prioritizing top recruits in the 2026 class and Junior Adams has made Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco wide receiver Madden Williams one of his top targets.

St. John Bosco WR Madden Williams was basically unguardable today for Trillion Boys. Multiple touchdowns in every game I watched. Will be a top name in 2026 out West pic.twitter.com/taWaJF12bw

The St. John Bosco star receiver will return to Oregon for a visit on June 14 and spoke about why it’s important for him to get back to Eugene.

“Coach Adams was here yesterday, the receivers coach, he was able to talk to me and Daniel (Odom) and just talking to us about how highly Oregon is doing, how much they’ve been able to put their receivers in the draft,” Williams said at the St. John Bosco college showcase. “Some of the guys he’s coached, he’s coached Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Rome (Odunze), Ja’Lynn Polk, Jalen McMillan, Troy Franklin, all those guys that just went into the draft right now.

“So being able to get up there and see the campus, see the football facility and see everything that Oregon has to offer is definitely on my list if they’re gonna be one of my top schools.”

Williams will no doubt be a receiver that has offers from about every school in the country, but Adams is making sure Oregon stays on his mind.

“He’s been out here five times since January, so he’s been checking up on me. Being consistent, which I like, showing interest, that’s why I gotta show interest back and get up there.”

NFL development is one factor that has Oregon standing out for one of the best on the West Coast.

“I would just say their ability to win football games. Their ability to put players in the NFL and how they can develop me as a man and also as a football player.”

The consistent approach from the Oregon staff has them firmly in the mix for Williams, who spoke about where the Ducks stand in his recruitment.

“They’re definitely one of my top eight schools,” he said.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver has taken recent trips to schools like Texas, SMU, Florida State, Penn State and Miami. Moving forward he has some trips scheduled for next month.

“I got Arizona and Arizona State on the second and third of June. I got Oregon on the 14th and then I got Washington on the 21st and then UNC on the 23rd, 24th.”

Even with two full seasons of high school football ahead of him, he’s continuing to work toward a decision.

“I’m narrowing it down right now to get ready to focus on my top schools,” he said. “I would say right now I probably got eight in mind that I’m focusing on narrowing down.”

Williams has been a human highlight reel this spring, making big play after big play on the nation 7on7 circuit. He reflected on what that experience has been like.

“It’s been good being able to play for Trillion Boys on the OT7 circuit. It’s been great national exposure, being able to talk to all of these media outlets, their schools and being able to show what I can do on national television. And just represent for California.”
