LSU transfer WR Shelton Sampson Jr. commits to Louisiana
LSU transfer wide receiver Shelton Sampson Jr. committed to Louisiana, he announced via social media. He entered the transfer portal Dec. 9.
Sampson appeared in eight games this past season for LSU after taking a redshirt as a true freshman in 2023. He didn’t record a stat, but made one start as a redshirt freshman. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Sampson played high school football at Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 80 overall player from the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
