LSU targets earn LSWA 2A all-state basketball top honors

A pair of 2027 LSU basketball targets topped the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s Class 2A all-state teams with a sophomore sweep of the boys’ and girls’ superlative awards.

Calvary Baptist guard Tyrone “T.J.” Jamison and versatile Oak Grove star Caroline Bradley earned the LSWA’s Outstanding Player honors for the classification.

Jamison averaged 15.3 points, 6.7 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game to help lead his Cavaliers to the No. 1 seed in the Division-III Select bracket and a run to the title game.

Bradley, also recently announced as the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year, averaged 20.6 points, 14.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.6 blocked shots per game to help lead her Lady Tigers to the No. 2 seed in the Division-III Non-Select bracket and a run to the title game.

Jamison is a top-25 basketball prospect in the nation in both the On3 and On3 Industry rankings for the 2027 class.

Bradley is the country’s No. 5 prospect for 2027, according to ESPN’s HoopGurlz.

Another pair of LSU recruits earned selections on the boys’ all-state teams.

Isidore Newman guard Randy “R.J.” Livingston Jr., the son of former LSU star Randy Livingston, joined Jamison on the first team.

The younger Livingston is ranked in the top 150 of the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2026 class and holds an offer from his father’s college alma mater.

He averaged 22 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Division-III Select No. 4 seed and quarterfinalist, including shooting 52% from the field and 34% from beyond the 3-point arc.

Multisport Dunham star Elijah Haven, a 2027 LSU football target as a quarterback, earned a spot on the second team for the second straight season.

The sophomore, the District 8-2A MVP, averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists for the Division-III Select No. 2 seed and semifinalist.

Haven was also the LSWA Class 2A Offensive MVP this football season after completing 193 of his 321 passes for 3,093 yards, 37 touchdowns and seven interceptions and rushing 158 times for 925 yards and another 19 scores for the Division-III Select runner-up.
