LSU Spring Game: 5-star Visitors and more
The LSU football staff will host a handful of 5-stars and double-digit On300 prospects for Saturday’s annual L-Club Spring Game in Tiger Stadium.
The No. 1 overall prospect in America is one of the headliner’s as LSU 5-star quarterback commit Bryce Underwood makes the flight from Michigan to Louisiana for another weekend on campus.
Here’s the rundown on some of the top prospects set to be on LSU’s campus.
Multiple 5-star recruits hit campus
LSU has two 5-star commitments who are set to be in Baton Rouge this weekend in quarterback Bryce Underwood and running back Harlem Berry – who both check in as the No. 1 overall prospect at their position on the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2025 class.
The Tigers will also host two more 5-stars: one on offense and one on defense.
5-star defensive back DJ Pickett, the No. 1 cornerback in the country, heads back to LSU for the third time since the hire of new LSU secondary coach Corey Raymond. Raymond had previously recruited the Sunshine State native while on staff at Florida, and since returning to the LSU staff, the Tigers have become one of the top teams in the mix.
Texas 5-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett is also back on LSU’s campus this weekend. Lockett remains uncommitted as the No. 2 wide receiver in the country. The Tigers already have a commitment from the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2025 class in Dakorien Moore, as well as Louisiana’s top-ranked wide receiver in TaRon Francis. Now, LSU will get Lockett back to campus on the same weekend as Underwood and Berry are in town.
LSU will also have a number of other commitments in town, including four-star linebacker Keylan Moses, four-star linebacker Charles Ross, four-star tight end JD LaFleur, four-star offensive linemen Tyler Miller and Brett Bordelon.
The rundown on some top 2025 LSU targets set to visit
*** LSU’s most recent offer went out to Louisiana 4-star running back JT Lindsey out of Alexandria Senior High. The 2025 prospect is ranked by On3 as the No. 11 running back in the country and a Top 5 prospect in the class. He’s got the green light to commit to the Tigers, and multiple On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) picks are in for LSU. This weekend, he’s firmly on “Commit Watch”.
*** Keep an eye on Mississippi State defensive line commit Jeremiah McCloud. There’s buzz that he could be on the verge of reopening his recruitment, and he’s set to be at LSU this weekend. First-year LSU defensive line coach Bo Davis also has a number of other top defensive line targets on the visitor list, a group that includes Texas commit Brandon Brown. Brown had committed to the Longhorns in December when Davis was the program’s defensive line coach. Davis is also set to bring in Texas defensive lineman Dilan Battle, as well as Georgia’s Walter Mathis and in-state rising seniors like Houma’s Tyron Winslow.
*** The group of EDGE rushers on LSU campus will be impressive, a list highlighted by prospects like Alabama’s Jared Smith, a Top 50 prospect in the 2025 class, and Indiana’s Damien Shanklin, a Top 100 prospect this cycle.
*** LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis has been on a roll with commitments in from three prospects, including two Top 100 recruits. This weekend, Davis will host one of his offseason offers in Mississippi offensive tackle Mario Nash.
*** Some other notable visitors from the 2025 class include Virginia cornerback Terrance Edwards, Georgia athlete Gerritt Kemp and fast-rising Alabama prospect Trent Sellers, who has stacked up offers in recent weeks as late-bloomer on the defensive end board.
