LSU continues to recruit the Peach State hard

LSU Football continues to prioritize the Peach State in a big way on the recruiting front. The Tigers have rolled through and seen numerous prospects during the evaluation period.

2025 Loganville (Ga.) Grayson cornerback Jaylen Bell committed to LSU back in November and the coaching staff swung through to see the four-star prospect. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Bell is the No. 323 overall prospect and No. 34 cornerback in the nation. He visited Baton Rouge back in January and enjoyed his time.

A 2026 teammate of Bell’s, EDGE Tyler Atkinson, who already has numerous offers, visited Baton Rouge as well. Miami, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas are in the race for one of the hottest prospects in his class. The Bulldogs lead the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Cornerbacks coach Robert Steeples offered another Peach State standout in 2025. On Wednesday, he offered Atlanta (Ga.) Douglass cornerback and Ohio State commit Jontae Gilbert. He’s the No. 21 overall prospect and No. 3 cornerback in the nation on the On3 Industry Ranking.

On Wednesday, LSU defensive coordinator Matt House swung through Jesup (Ga.) Wayne County. He dished out an offer to 2025 four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace, the younger brother of Kentucky linebacker Trevin Wallace. Tavion is the No. 37 overall prospect and No. 2 linebacker in the country for On3.

Of course, LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis continues to prioritize Atlanta (Ga.) South Gwinnett offensive tackle Marcus Mascoll, who LSU leads for on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. He’s got official visits locked in to LSU, Florida and NC State this summer.

Earlier this week, 2025 Warner Robins (Ga.) EDGE Isaiah Gibson added an LSU offer from Jimmy Lindsey. He’s already one of the nation’s top overall prospects in the next recruiting cycle.

LSU defensive coordinator Matt House swung through Colquitt County on Tuesday to see the talent-rich program. Among the prospects he saw were 2024 Florida State tight end commit Landen Thomas, 2024 Georgia wideout commit Ny Carr, rising 2024 EDGE Tyshon Reed, and 2025 EDGE Amari Wilson, who already has some recruiting attention.
