LSU checks in on elite SEC OT commit
LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis checked in on one of the top offensive linemen in the country. On Monday, 2025 Mobile (Ala.) Vigor offensive tackle Micah DeBose got visited by Davis.
The Tigers hosted him in late March for an unofficial visit and continues to keep options open, including with LSU. DeBose committed to Georgia on Jan. 16.
Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Ole Miss and Penn State are the schools currently recruiting him the hardest. Alabama, FAMU and others also hosted him this spring.
When it comes to LSU’s chances, the work done early on by the staff has the Tigers in a position to make more good impressions.
“The coaches and their personality are important to me,” Debose said. “I know picking a school based on a coach is bad, but I want to be comfortable with the coach that I’ll be working under; the head coach and my position coach. Building those relationships really matter the most to me.”
At 6-foot-5, 315 pounds, DeBose ranks as the No. 36 overall prospect in the country, No. 4 offensive tackle in the nation and No. 5 prospect in Alabama, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3 ranks DeBose as the No. 79 overall prospect and No. 10 offensive tackle in the nation.
