LOOK: The one-year anniversary of Ole Miss baseball’s first-ever national championship

A year ago today Ole Miss baseball completely took over Omaha and the College World Series and swept Oklahoma en route to the program’s first-ever national championship.

The Rebels, as the last team named to the NCAA Tournament field, won 10 of their 11 postseason games to finish 42-23. Ace right-hander Dylan DeLucia was named MVP of the CWS following an historic postseason run. He was joined on the all-tournament team by Tim Elko, Justin Bench, Calvin Harris, Kevin Graham and Kemp Alderman.

All but the then-underclassmen duo of Harris and Alderman left after being drafted. Elko led Ole Miss in slugging percentage (.642), RBI (75), home runs (24) and total bases (154). He’s only continued to mash as a pro — on Sunday hitting his 17th home run of the year for the White Sox’s single-A affiliate.

Let’s take a look back, in pictures and highlights, at one of the greatest achievements in Ole Miss athletics history, on its one-year anniversary.
