Longhorns in the NFL for Week 2

Thirty-three players who played at the University of Texas were on NFL rosters of 20 of the league’s 32 teams for Week 2 of the season. Here’s a breakdown of how they fared over the week, with some highlights of performances and updates.

Below are a listing of the players listed alphabetically by teams: 

Arizona

Kris Boyd, CB

Boyd played for the second straight week but did not record any statistics in the Cardinals’ 31-28 home loss to the New York Giants on Sunday.

Keaontay Ingram, RB

Ingram carried the ball twice for six yards in the loss to the Giants. He has played in both games this year for the Cardinals and has amassed 2 yards on seven rushes.

Geoff Swaim, TE

Swaim played but did not record any stats in the Cardinals’ setback against New York.

Atlanta

Ta’Quon Graham, DT

Graham had one tackle in the Falcons’ 25-24 win at home over Green Bay. He has two total tackles for the season in two games for Atlanta.

Bijan Robinson, RB

Robinson continued his strong NFL start, racking up 124 yards on 19 carries and catching 4 passes for 48 yards in the win over the Packers. Robinson has 180 yards rushing and 10 catches for 75 yards and a score in two games this season.

Baltimore

Devin Duvernay, WR

Duvernay played for the second straight week, running three times for a total of 15 yards in Baltimore’s 27-24 win at Cincinnati on Sunday. Duvernay has not caught a pass yet this season.

Justin Tucker, PK

Tucker converted all three of his PAT kicks, went two of three on field goals (making kicks from 44 and 40 yards and missing from 59) and produced five touchbacks in Baltimore’s win on the road against the Bengals.

Buffalo

Poona Ford, DT

Ford played but did not record any stats in the Bills’ 38-10 home win over Las Vegas on Sunday.

Carolina

D’Shawn Jamison, CB

Jamison recorded a tackle in the Panthers’ loss to the Saints on Monday Night Football.

Chicago

D’Onta Foreman, RB

Foreman was active but did not play in the Bears’ 27-17 loss at Tampa Bay on Sunday. He’s carried five times for 16 yards and caught two passes for eight yards this season.

Roschon Johnson, RB

Johnson ran four times for 32 yards and had two catches for 10 yards in Chicago’s loss at Tampa Bay. He has played in both games and has produced 52 yards and a score on nine carries and hauled in eight passes for 45 yards this season.

Cincinnati

Joseph Ossai, DE

Ossai was inactive for the Bengals’ 27-24 loss at home to Baltimore; he’s missed Cincinnati’s first two games with a sprained ankle.

Cleveland

Marquise Goodwin, WR

Goodwin was targeted twice but did not have a catch in the Browns’ loss to Pittsburgh on Monday Night Football.

Denver

Lil’Jordan Humphrey, WR

Humphrey started for the second straight game and caught a pass for 4 yards in the Broncos’ 35-33 loss at home to Washington. He had three catches for 15 yards and a touchdown this season.

P.J. Locke, S

Locke is on injured reserve after he suffered a leg injury in preseason. He will miss at least the first four weeks of the 2023 season.

Caden Sterns, S

Sterns was placed on the IR this week after suffering a left knee injury against Las Vegas on opening weekend. He will be out for the season.

Houston

Andrew Beck, TE

Beck started for the second straight game and caught his first two passes of the season, for 2 yards, in the Texans’ 31-20 loss at home to Indianapolis on Sunday.

Hassan Ridgeway, DT

Ridgeway was placed on IR with a calf injury this week after he had two assisted tackles in Houston’s loss to the Ravens in week 1. He will miss at least four weeks.

Indianapolis

Sam Ehlinger, QB

Ehlinger was active as the third quarterback for the Colts in their 31-20 win in Houston. He has not seen the field in the first two weeks of the season.

Kansas City

Keondre Coburn, DT

Coburn was active but did not play in the Chiefs’ 17-9 win at home against Jacksonville on Sunday. He has one combined tackle for the season.

Los Angeles Chargers

Cameron Dicker, PK

Dicker (the Kicker) hit all three of his field goals, from 27, 30 and 33 yards away, respectively, the final of which sent the game into overtime as the Chargers lost at Tennessee 27-24 on Sunday. He also canned his only PAT chance and amassed five touchbacks on kickoffs.

Miami

DeShon Elliott, S

Elliott started and had four tackles, three solo stops, a pass defended and fumble recovery in the Dolphins’ 24-17 win at New England on Sunday. He has 17 combined tackles and 10 solo stops in two games this year.

Brandon Jones, S

Jones was active but did not play in Miami’s win over the Patriots.

Connor Williams, C

Williams started at center for Miami for the second consecutive contest, helping the Dolphins rack up 389 yards of total offense against New England.

Minnesota

Jordan Hicks, LB

Hicks started for the second straight game and had 11 combined tackles and four solo stops in the Vikings’ 34-28 loss at Philadelphia on Thursday. He had a team leading 14 tackles (and five solo stops) for Minnesota this season.

New England

Calvin Anderson, T

Anderson started for the second straight game and helped the Patriots produce 288 yards of total offense in their 24-17 loss at home to Miami.

Adrian Phillips, S

Phillips had two combined tackles and a solo stop in New England’s setback. He has recorded six combined tackles and three solo stops for the season.

Brenden Schooler, S

Schooler had a scintillating blocked field goal, a combined tackle and a solo stop on special teams in the Patriots’ loss. He’s played in both games for New England.

New Orleans

Malcolm Roach, DT

Roach had two tackles versus Carolina on Monday Night Football.

Philadelphia

Moro Ojomo, DT

Ojomo was active but did not record any stats in the Eagles’ 34-28 win at home over Minnesota.

Seattle

Michael Dickson, P

Dickson punted three times for an average of 50.7 yards per kick and booted a 64-yarder in the Seahawks’ 37-31 overtime win on the road against Detroit. He is averaging a league-leading 55.4 yards per punt on seven kicks this season.

Quandre Diggs, S

Diggs started and had five combined tackles and a solo stop in Seattle’s victory. He has eight combined tackles and two solo stops for the year.

Samuel Cosmi, G

Cosmi started for the second straight week and helped the Commanders offense gain 399 yards in their 35-33 win at Denver.
