Live Updates: Tennessee welcomes North Alabama for midweek clash
Tennessee baseball is back I action Tuesday evening form Lindsey Nelson Stadium with North Alabama coming to town for a midweek, 4:30 pm ET clash.
The Vols (7-0) picked up the No. 1 ranking in the country on Monday from the USA Today Coaches Poll after beginning the season perfect with five run-rule victories. Through seven games, Tennessee has outscored its opponents 98-11. The offense has launched 20 home runs, including four grand slams, walked 69 times and average 14 runs a contest. The pitching staff has surrendered just eight earned runs off 23 hits while striking out 87 batters and walking 15. The bullpen alone has allowed just three runs so far this season.
The Lions (3-3) were preseason picked No. 10 in the Atlantic Sun Conference after concluding the 2024 campaign with an 18-35 overall record and 10-19-1 mark in conference play. The squad is coached by Jad Prachniak (12th season) and this will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
