Live Updates: Tennessee eyes series-sweep over Vanderbilt with Sunday bout
Tennessee baseball will try and finish off the Vanderbilt Commodores Sunday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, seeking the series-sweep at 1 pm eastern time. The Vols have already clinched their first-series victory in over three weeks, wining game one 4-3 in extras and game two 17-1 in run-rule fashion.
Tony Vitello’s Vols (25-14, 7-10) have outscored Tim Corbin’s Commodores (29-10, 13-4) 21-4 in the first two games and are seeking their first series-sweep since the Texas A&M series that wrapped up on March 26.
Right-handed pitcher Drew Beam (4-2, 3,73 ERA) will square off against lefty Devin Futrell (6-1, 2.35 ERA) in game three. Fans can follow along with the television broadcast on ESPN 2.
